Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add sliced onions and Stir-fry till golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Stir-fry for a minute until raw smell disappears.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until oil separates.
- Add chicken pieces and mix well with the masala. Stir-fry for 5–7 minutes.
- Lower the flame and add whisked yogurt slowly, stirring continuously.
- Add about ½ cup water (optional) and cover. Cook for 20 minutes or until chicken is tender.
- Add cubed onions and cook uncovered for 5–7 more minutes until slightly tender but crunchy.
- Finish with garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander.
