Ingredients

For the Chicken Marinade:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for spice)

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon water (if needed, to thin out the sauce)

For the Wrap:

  • 4 large pita breads or flatbreads
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken

  1. In a large bowl, mix yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, and all the spices.
  2. Add chicken breasts or thighs, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Cover and marinate for at least 1 hour (preferably overnight) in the refrigerator.
