Badam Shake Recipe

A rich, creamy and energizing Indian Badam Shake drink made with almonds, milk, and aromatic flavorings. Perfect for summer or as a festive treat!



Ingredients:

  • 20 almonds (badam), soaked overnight or in hot water for 1 hour
  • 2 cups chilled milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 3–4 saffron strands (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 4–5 ice cubes (optional)
  • Chopped almonds and pistachios for garnish (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Peel the soaked almonds by gently pressing them; the skin should come off easily.
  2. Add the peeled almonds, sugar, cardamom powder, and a little milk (2–3 tablespoons) to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth to make a thick almond paste.
  4. Add the rest of the chilled milk, saffron strands (if using), and ice cubes.
  5. Blend again until everything is well mixed and creamy.
  6. Pour into glasses and garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios.
  7. Serve chilled!

Tips:

  • You can add 1–2 teaspoons of rose water or a drop of almond essence for extra flavor.
  • For a richer shake, use full-fat milk or add a spoon of condensed milk.
  • Can be made vegan using almond milk.
